The SIMATIC ET 200SP is an extremely flexible and expandable I/O system with an IP20 protection rating that can communicate with SIMATIC automation systems (controllers) via PROFINET IO or PROFIBUS DP. Errors can be detected and eliminated in an exceptionally short period.
It offers a free selection of PROFINET connection system and hardware using BusAdapters (BA 2×RJ45, BA 2×FC, BA 2×SCRJ, BA 2xLC, BA LC/FC, BA LC/RJ45, BA SCRJ/RJ45, or BA SCRJ/FC). The ET 200SP station can establish communication with either of the two CPUs of an AS station through an interface module.
It can accommodate up to 64 I/O modules (digital/analog). It features a compact, robust, and user-friendly design. It has push-in terminals for quick one-handed wiring without the need for tools. The I/O unit and I/O cards can be replaced during operation (hot swapping). The low space requirement allows for reduced space in the control panel for automation.
